History of PTI

1977

1983
Peace Trailer Industries merges with Hofam Catering to form PTI Group Inc., enabling the two companies to expand their product and service offerings, resulting in combined sales of approximately $15 million.

1989
PTI acquires Travco Industrial Housing, thus significantly boosting its production capacity for modular housing units. Over the next few years, the company accepts several large workforce accommodations contracts, particularly in the upcoming oil sands region of northern Alberta. PTI also grows its operations at a global level, reaching as far as Siberia and Afghanistan.

2001
PTI merges with Oil States Industries, HWC Energy Services and Sooner Pipe, LP to form Oil States International Inc., based in Houston, Texas. OSI lists its initial public offering on the NYSE on February 9, under the symbol OIS. Post merger, PTI continues its pattern of success, meeting – and often exceeding – growth targets.

2005
Noble Structures is acquired, a veteran in the residential modular building market, which again allows the company to increase its capacity in order to match the expansion in the Alberta oil sands and to explore new growth areas in the United States and elsewhere.

2007
We celebrate our 30th anniversary, the company is awarded a multi-year agreement project, opens another permanent oil sands lodge, forms another joint venture, acquires another company, as well as opening a sales office in the US.

Expanding beyond North America, OSI acquires The MAC Services Group in Australia. Closely aligned in values and offering to PTI, The MAC experiences rapid growth.
