CNRL Horizon
Location: North of Ft. McMurray, Alberta
CNRL Horizon is one of the largest projects PTI Group has ever undertaken. The camp is approximately 85km north of Fort McMurray, Alberta.
Delivered in three phases, the first camp houses 1,500 workers. The second and third camps accommodate 2,000 and 1,500 CNRL staff respectively.
The first camp is over 300,000 square feet, spread over a 30-acre site. There are 1,596 beds, a 23,455 square foot kitchen/diner, and 12,866 square feet of recreational space with a licensed lounge, TV, exercise and games rooms. The front desk and lobby connect to a beautiful atrium, a refinement of a design used earlier at nearby PTI Lodge.
All three camps were completed by August 2006.
The main administration complex was also be built by PTI in two phases, with the first phase completed at the beginning of December 2006.
